Rotorua here we come....

Four days to go and the WFA are off to the Bay of Plenty for this year's national (NZ) annual Pinoy reunion (Oct 19 - Oct 21) . The initial WFA contingent was 60+ sports players plus our Binibining Pilipinas contestant and our families and friends. But then just last Friday, we received a request from the Rotorua organisers to form another Men's basketball team when another city's team backed out. So lo and behold, we have more than 70 WFA sports people off to Rotorua.

Our WFA sports entourage is lead by our hardworking sports co-ordinators, coaches, and the Labour 2008 think-tank team, off to learn from the Rotorua experience and do promotional and PR work for hosting next year's festivities here in Hamilton.

We do have a lot of surprises for next year's 2008 event. Let's all work together to make this a successful endeavour for our Hamilton Kiwi-Filipino community.

I do hope everyone have a blast (fun) at Rotorua! Most of all, have a safe trip to-and-fro the Thermal city. See you all there and take care everyone!
